Our Story

One Unity was founded on Ravi Saxena’s lifelong commitment to building understanding across cultures, faiths, and communities. Through his experience in multicultural non-profit work and sustained interfaith dialogue, Ravi developed a deep appreciation for shared humanity and a clear conviction that people have far more in common than what divides them.

Ravi engaged individuals across generations in conversations about interfaith dialogue and unity. While younger participants demonstrated strong support, older generations expressed a broader range of perspectives. These insights reinforced the importance of an inclusive, respectful approach and helped shape One Unity’s mission to foster meaningful dialogue and community-centred initiatives.

Ravi, along with Dr Mostafa, Dr Ajit, Catherine, Teresa, and dedicated community members, has actively worked to promote harmony, inclusion, love, and mutual respect. Through One Unity, they strive to bring people of all faiths and cultures together, united, empowered, and inspired, to advance peace, mutual understanding, and shared humanity.

A milestone in One Unity’s journey was its alignment with the Interfaith Council of Prince George’s, founded in 2017. Following a period of inactivity, Ravi Saxena and founding member Jon Duncan agreed to transfer the Society, strengthening One Unity’s foundation and ensuring the continuation of its interfaith mission.
