Ravi Saxena

Founder & Managing Director

Ravi Saxena has been a resident of Prince George since 2008, where he and his wife have raised their two children. He holds an MBA from the University of Northern British Columbia and served as the Executive Director of the Immigrant & Multicultural Services Society (IMSS) for nine years. During his tenure, he played a key leadership role in guiding the organization through a period of significant growth and enhanced community impact.

Under his leadership, IMSS has received multiple honors, including the International Peace Award at Toronto, two Riasat Ali Khan Diversity Awards at Vancouver, and recognition as Northern BC’s Anti-Racism Hub. He founded The Unsung Heroes of Northern BC to celebrate outstanding community contributors and has organized A Day of Cultures since 2018 to promote diversity and inclusion.

Ravi’s professional and volunteer work extends across several boards and committees, including the BC RCMP Cultural Diversity & Inclusion Board, UNBC MBA Alumni Association, Change Day BC – UHNBC Physician Initiative Committee (UPIC), Northern Health, Interfaith Council Planning PG, the College of New Caledonia Board, and the BC Settlement and Integration Services (BCSIS) Program Evaluation Working Group. He has also served as a judge for UNBC JDC West and the International Peace Awards in Brampton, Ontario.

In collaboration with Dr. Ajit Dayanandan and Dr. Han Donker, Ravi Saxena co-authored the study “Corporate Board of India Blocked by Caste,” published in the August 11 edition of Economic & Political Weekly (India). The research received international attention from The Wall Street Journal, BBC, NDTV, and other major media outlets.

Working in a multicultural non-profit has helped Ravi connect with people worldwide and appreciate shared humanity. From childhood, he questioned differences based on faith, belief, or culture and learned through open dialogue that similarities unite us. Ravi believes now is the time to build understanding and unity with patience and open minds. One Unity envisions respect for everyone’s spirituality and beliefs. He invites you to join The One Unity Project: start a dialogue, volunteer, and help foster harmony and trust for future generations.
